Currently, I am working as a Ph.D. Student at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, Karolinska Institutet. I earned my M.A. in Psychological Research working in the Action and Consciousness Lab at San Francisco State University (2008-2010). Following the completion of my M.A., I worked as a research assistant in the Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory at Stockholm University.
The overarching goal of my research in the Emotion Lab is to investigate the neurocognitive mechanisms of emotional learning in social situations. More specifically, I am interested in how social cognition and social interactions modulate one’s fears and aversions. I am currently using behavioral and psychophysiological measures in conjunction with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to examine various aspects of this fundamental question.
