Anna Izountouemoi

In February 2021 I received my M.Sc. in Emotion Psychology at Mid Sweden University, in Östersund. I completed my thesis on the impact of dance expertise in relation to emotional expression and emotional sensitivity, a study highlighting the possible impact of dance in one’s ability to perceive and express emotions. I also hold a B.A. in Psychology and received my clinical licensure from Greece 2017. I’m currently in the process of receiving a clinical licensure in Sweden. In parallel I’m working at the Emotion lab as a researcher intern, under the supervision of Simon Jangard on a project investigating the role of oxytocin in social cognition in alcohol use disorder. My research interest lies within cognitive and affective neuroscience. More specifically, studying further affect perception and expression, in relation to mental health effects.
